Almondbury Woolpack FC have two teams playing in the Huddersfield and District Association Football League.

We formed in 2008, originally in the Kirklees Sunday League where we enjoyed mixed success (it depended how much beer we had the night before). But after establishing a core base of players, we made the move to Saturday football in 2012.

Since then we won consecutive league titles seeing us promoted from from Division 4 to Division 2 in 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Our Second Team was added in 2014-15 and gained promotion to Reserve Division 3 in it’s first season, and then was promoted to Reserve Division 2 in 2019-20.

Since a restructioning of the league in 2023-24, our First Team have remained in Division One, and our Second Team in Division Five.
